Rebecca joined the Cambridge Systematics (CS) team in 2017 with a specialization in rail engineering and construction management. She has 15 years of expertise in the transportation industry including experience with freight and passenger railway planning; federal, state, and local freight planning; railway bridge design, maintenance, and construction; asset management planning; GIS and data visualization; and project management. As a professional engineer, she worked at a Class I railroad working with the management, maintenance, design, inspection, and construction of railway infrastructure. Rebecca is Secretary of American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Committee 10 which governs guidelines for railway structures, maintenance, management, and construction. Through her active involvement in TRB and AREMA committees and ongoing professional development Rebecca is up-to-date with grade crossing technology and railroad safety data. Rebecca attended the FRA Grade Crossing Workshop in Houston (May 2023) where she interacted with federal, state, local, emergency, and law enforcement agencies regarding grade crossing safety and trespassing issues. Her engineering and planning skills blend together to provide targeted and knowledgeable support for freight and industrial services.
