This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to safe vehicle user behaviors. This includes enforcement, education, technology, and other approaches to mitigating risky behaviors.

Dan Andersen (Member)

This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to motor carrier safety in all its aspects, including human, roadway, vehicle, operational, organizational, and regulatory arenas.

Taraneh Ardalan (Member)

This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to surface street (local, collector, and arterial) traffic operations, including signal control, access management, and multimodal integration on surface streets.

This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to advanced computing, statistical methods, machine learning, and data analytics to support system monitoring, performance analysis, and analytical tool development across transportation domains.

Traveler values and attitudes refer to motivational, cognitive, situational, and disposition factors determining human behavior. Traveler behavior refers primarily to the modeling and analysis of travel demand based on theories from various scientific fields.

A major interest of the committee is in fostering research on multimodal transportation systems and the legal issues pertaining to such systems.
