This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to advanced computing, statistical methods, machine learning, and data analytics to support system monitoring, performance analysis, and analytical tool development across transportation domains.
AEP12 Travel Behavior and Choices
Sean McAtee (Member)
This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to traveler values, attitudes, and behavior. Traveler values and attitudes refer to motivational, cognitive, situational, and disposition factors determining human behavior. Traveler behavior refers primarily to the modeling and analysis of travel demand based on theories from various scientific fields.
AEP16 Transportation, Economic Development and Land Use
Mark Feldman (Member)
This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to exploring the interrelationships among transportation demand, economics, and land use to assist informed decision-making and support effective planning to maximize community benefits.
AP011 Transit Management
Leah Mooney (Member)
This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to the management of transit systems, such as issues concerning finance, funding, procurement, performance, governance, administration, asset management, and workforce management and development.
AP012 Transit System Planning
Dalia Leven (Member)
This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to the planning and design of transit systems, such as issues concerning travel demand and ridership forecasting, network modeling, alternatives analysis, service planning, project and corridor planning, and coordination of transit and land-use planning.
AQB13 Asset, Performance, and Risk Management
John Kaliski (Member)
This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to the application of asset management, performance measurement, and risk management principles to support strategic, cost-effective, and sustainable management of transportation infrastructure, systems, and organizations.
AQL12 Public Transportation and Intermodal Operations Law
Michael Dunst (Member)
This committee is concerned with the legal processes and problems involved in planning, funding, constructing, and operating transportation systems using fixed guideways, streets and highways, and water transport. A major interest of the committee is in fostering research on multimodal transportation systems and the legal issues pertaining to such systems.
AT013 Transport of Specialized Commodities
Clay Barnes (Member)
This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to the transport, distribution and storage of specialized commodities by all modes, including hazardous materials, agricultural and food products, and other commodities requiring specific packaging, containers and infrastructure. Economic, institutional, operational, safety, risk, regulatory, and capacity factors will also be considered.
AT014 Intermodal Freight and Truck Transportation
Dan Haake (Member)
This committee is concerned with research and innovation related to intermodal freight transport, including rail-water, rail-highway, highway-water, and highway-air modal combinations. This committee is also concerned with a broad range of issues related to the trucking industry.
