The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) featured CS transportation analyst, Asean Davis, in a post celebrating National Engineers Week.
Asean discussed how his love of rollercoasters led to his career in engineering. During his undergraduate studies, Asean discovered the key role transportation plays in communities and decided to pursue a transportation engineering Master’s degree.
He loves that this field allows him to be at the cusp of innovation, solving complex problems for communities. He also recognizes that part of innovative design is ensuring that transportation professionals reflect the diversity of the populations they design for.
Asean is an advocate for more diversity in engineering and transportation, encouraging young minority students to pursue these fields and for more companies to explore talent from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
