Active Transportation Planning

Conserving energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving air quality and encouraging physical activity, promoting safety and preserving open space—all are known benefits of coordinating land use with transportation planning, and CS is leading the way. We bring land use considerations into processes including long-range planning, corridor planning and project development. We inform decision-making through our non-motorized travel forecasting models, crash and safety data and analysis systems, design guidance, master planning, and financing strategies.
