We are seeking an IT Director in our headquarters office in Cambridge, MA. The function of this role is to ensure that technology infrastructure supports the needs of our best-in-class consulting firm that is expanding internationally. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing team of transportation professionals to provide project management and analytical support on travel demand forecasting model development and application projects, under both traditional and advanced modeling paradigms. The role includes responsibility for direction and execution of project tasks in collaboration with other travel demand modelers in a team-oriented environment. Specific responsibilities would include developing model input data and estimating parameters, statistical analysis of travel surveys, conducting validation of travel demand models, executing model runs and evaluating results, preparing technical documentation, researching new modeling techniques, testing software enhancements, managing projects and task orders, and providing ad-hoc agency support. We are seeking a mid-level transportation safety specialist/planner/engineer experienced in any of our offices working with state highway safety offices, departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations, and/or the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), all modes, especially the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The ideal candidate has an understanding of U.S. DOT grant and research programs, the Federal role in transportation safety, multidisciplinary safety countermeasures, performance-based planning and measurement, and transportation safety data. This individual will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide technical support to safety projects and programs; facilitate and document client meetings; write technical papers and reports; maintain excellent customer service; support project managers with progress reports and fiscal management; and assist with proposal writing and development.
